The Frame Finder was developed to search through
image volumes (MRI and CT) of patients with a Leksell Model G
stereotactic head frame attached to locate the frame's fiducial
markers. Once located, the software calculates the image-to-frame
transform and applies it to the whole volume. Move the 3D cursor
around and the module will present the user with image and stereotactic
frame coordinates for every position in the volume - a fantastic
feature for researchers interested in targeting structures deep
within the brain. The whole frame-finding process is nearly instantaneous
and has been validated using a phantom. This module was written
in C and Python and is now available for licensing.
